Emergency Lighting Inspection in Portneuf

In Portneuf, emergency lighting and exit signs are easy to forget until there's an outage or a fire-department visit. We test and maintain these systems to CAN/ULC-S524 and NFPA-101, from Donnacona and Saint-Raymond to Pont-Rouge, Cap-Santé and Neuville. The service covers the monthly function test, the annual duration test (where the battery has to hold under load for the required time) and replacement of worn batteries and heads. We work with municipal buildings, schools and CPEs, arenas, garages, farms, neighbourhood shops and light manufacturing along Hwy 138 and Route 367. We group visits across the area to cut down travel, and every building keeps its compliance record current in Canuck360. To book, call 418-905-3396.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the monthly and annual test?

The monthly function test confirms each unit lights up when power drops. It's quick and visual. The annual duration test, required under NFPA-101, runs the units on battery for the full required time to prove they actually hold the charge. That's the test that catches weak batteries before they fail during a real emergency.

Do you cover the smaller towns in the area?

Yes. We serve the whole Portneuf MRC, from Neuville and Cap-Santé out to Saint-Raymond, along Hwy 138 and Route 367. We group stops in the same area on the same day to keep travel down, which helps a municipal arena, a garage or a neighbourhood shop alike.

How often does emergency lighting need to be tested?

As a rule, a short function test every month and a duration test once a year. The exact intervals apply as required by the standard and regulation for your building.
